The cost of routine eye exams can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses. A vision insurance policy is not the same as medical insurance. Here is the difference: Regular medical health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease; Vision insurance is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.
At Visibly Better Eye Care, our goal is to promote good eye health that enables you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept most medical insurance, several types of vision insurance (listed below), FSA’s, cash, checks, and credit cards. If you require a breakdown of costs before your appointment, please let us know.

The knowledgeable staff at Visibly Better Eye Care is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care are covered. Most plans require a co-payment for an office visit as well as additional costs that are not covered by your plan.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Many employers are now offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to their employees. These are elective, supplemental medical savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery, or other medical treatments. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction any vision or medical insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs.
